Read It Before You See It: I Am Number Four

The sci fi adventure story I Am Number Four, by Pittacus Lore, hit bookshelves last August and now the movie version is in theaters! 
              
The book focuses on John Smith, an alien whose home planet Lorien has been invaded by the Mogadorians.  John, along with 9 other children and their guardians, escaped Lorien's destruction and is hiding out on Earth, hoping to develop his powers and someday save his home.  With me so far?  Well, of course, the path to saving your planet never runs smoothly.  John and his fellow aliens are being hunted by the Mogadorians.  Three of them have been killed so far, and John is Number Four.

The movie version stars Alex Pettyfer (you may remember him from the movie version of the Alex Rider book Stormbreaker and the movie version of Beastly by Alex Flinn) and Dianna Agron from Glee.  Check out the movie's official site for trailers, downloads, showtimes, and other cool stuff.  It's also playing in IMAX, if you like your aliens larger than life!
