Astrophysicist Kevin Manning, a former consultant with NASA, has always been passionate about astronomy, and wants to share the exitement with you! Join us indoors to learn about the size and scale of the universe, the stars, and other celestial wonders. Then, weather permitting, we'll troop outside, where a powerful telescope will be set up for viewing the craters on the moon, the rings of Saturn and other objects in the night sky.
Registration required. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Enjoy a light-hearted look at over 500 years of millinery history from the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago. Caps, berets, bonnets, chapeau, helmets, visors and sombreros portray the life and time of the wearer. Look at hats through the eyes of African tribal artists, French Impressionists, American and European Portraitists and Modernists of every type.

Join local human resources expert Bob Schlacks for an interactive workshop. There will be time for questions and short one-on-one reviews of your resume.
